Assignment: 
1. Research the subject of flu prevention at http://www.cdc.gov/flu/ 
2. Based on your research, choose a single issue to highlight in a poster such as hand washing to avoid spreading germs (so yeah, don't use that one).
3. Define the purpose and function of the poster, the audience, and the information to be communicated.
4. Write a headline based on one interesting fact.
5. Design a poster that is type driven—that is, type mostly carries the message of the poster. If you use any image, it should play a secondary role to the type-driven composition.

The audience for my poster will be Generation Z. Members of Gen Z were born between 1996 and 2010, making them about 12-24 now. The issue I will be highlighting in regards to flu prevention is the importance of getting a flu vaccine. Because we are such a technology (specifically social media) focused generation, I tend to play off of that. TikTok is a very popular app for our age group right now, with many viral “trends” that are very widely recognized with users (such as certain sounds, filters, or types of videos at any given time). I am going to incorporate a TikTok reference on the poster (as the headline) in order to catch the attention of viewers, and more importantly make it memorable. I am also going to lay it out in a way that is aesthetically pleasing and trendy to increase the likelihood of sharing.
